Recreation & Leisure

Bucharest has around 50 parks and public gardens, out of which King Michael I, known as Herastrau Park, is the largest and the most popular. Besides Herastrau Park, Baneasa Zoo, Baneasa Forest and Lake you can also enjoy the fresh air in Snagov domain, Mogosoaia domain, or Stirbei domain.

Sports have a strong presence, with national interest in football, tennis, and gymnastics. In Herastrau you can ride a bike, you can have a boat ride on the lake and for your children there are plenty of thematic playgrounds.

Entertainment is not limited. In Romania, there are no travel restrictions, so residents are free to experience the beauty of the country. The Black Sea coast, Danube delta, zoos, monastery tours, century-old museums, operas or ballets, all offer a healthy blend of culture and old-fashioned fun.

Of all the wonderful things that Bucharest has to offer, nightlife is not the least of them. From trendy bars to Irish pubs, lounge clubs and jazz clubs, there is something for everyone in this town.
