Bucharest & Romania

The capital of Romania, Bucharest, is known for its wide boulevards, for its nickname of „Little Paris” and for the nightlife. Bucharest is also famous for having built its own People’s House – today the Parliament Palace (Palatul Parlamentului) – which is the second largest administrative building in the world after the Pentagon, the third most massive building in the world, the heaviest building in the world and also, visible from the space.

A journey of a few hours by car or train can take you from the Danube River to a beautiful, medieval town in Transylvania; from Bucharest to the Black Sea; from Southern Transylvania to Bucovina or Maramures. Take a step back in time as you visit one of the world’s famous painted monasteries in Bucovina, the ancient citadel in Sighisoara or a centuries-old, folkloric village in Maramures.
